Deleting your Lulora account
Lulora is operated by Hamtech LLC ("Lulora," "we," "us"). This page explains how to delete your Lulora account and every recording in it — from inside the app, or by writing to us if you no longer have the app — and exactly what is removed, what is kept, and for how long.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no recovery window and no way to undo it, which is why the app asks you to confirm deliberately and offers to export your recordings first.
Delete from inside the app
- Open Lulora and go to your Trove (the home tab).
- Tap your profile picture to open the Account pane.
- Scroll down and tap “Delete account.”
- Optional but recommended: tap “Download my Embers” first. Every recording you made is bundled as audio files and saved to your phone. They are yours to keep, always.
- Review “What deleting does” — the same facts listed below — then confirm on the final “This can’t be undone” screen.
Your account is deleted the moment you confirm. If you have an active subscription, cancel it with Apple or Google as well — deleting your Lulora account does not cancel a store subscription, and the app shows you the store’s management link during deletion.
Delete without the app
If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email privacy@luloraapp.com from — or identifying — the phone number your account uses. We will verify the request, delete the account by hand, and confirm back to you what we did.
The same mailbox handles deletion requests from people who never had an account but whose information a Lulora user shared with us (for example a name and phone number added to someone’s Crew).
What is deleted
All of the following is removed when your account is deleted:
- Your account and sign-in identity, including your phone number, name, optional email address, and profile photo.
- Every voice recording you made: Embers you sent, Time Capsules waiting to open, and copies of your Embers that recipients kept in their Troves. People who kept your voice lose it — the app tells you how many people that is before you confirm.
- Voices you contributed to other people’s Crew Embers. A five-voice gift becomes four.
- Your Crew list, your kept Embers, notification tokens, delivery and listening records, and your open invitation links, which stop working immediately.
What is kept, and for how long
- A one-way cryptographic hash of your phone number is kept for one year, solely so the same number cannot immediately register a fresh account. It is not your phone number, it is not usable for contact, and it is purged automatically after the year ends.
- Blocks that other people placed on your number remain in place. That is their safety record, not yours.
- Encrypted database backups expire on a rolling basis within 30 days; your data is not restored from them.
- Nothing else is retained. We do not keep recordings, profiles, or contact lists after deletion.
